Consultation
As a possible first point of contact, the Commission for Equal Opportunities and Diversity offers advice for students, teachers and employees of the university in cases of discrimination and disadvantage – or on questions about how equal opportunities can be guaranteed for everyone.
We treat all topics confidentially, provided there is no criminal offense and no one needs acute protection.
There is the option of anonymous advice, for example after contacting us using a specially set up, anonymized e-mail address.
Attention: We cannot offer legally secure advice. There is the possibility of advice in external contact points, e.g. the anti-discrimination association S-H or the anti-discrimination office of the state.

Events, campaigns and projects
- AG Diversity and Anti-Discrimination
In 2019, the dialogue series “everything is pussyble – female success stories” sparked a lively discourse at the Muthesius Univeresity of Fine Arts and Design. Building on this, a group of different actors from the AStA and the Muthesius Commission for Equal Opportunities and Diversity started with „RESET – let’s talk about diversity“, a series of events that began in 2020 in the Einblick / Ausblick radio and then with (digital) Event formats was continued. As part of this working group, we as a university would like to design our anti-discrimination guidelines together.
- Diversity days at Kiel universities
The Kiel University of Applied Sciences (FH), the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel (CAU) and the Muthesius University of Fine Arts and Design organized eight online events on the occasion of the Diversity Days from May 17-21, 2021, in which researchers and experts on different aspects spoke about diversity and discrimination in higher education.
- Diversity in the university context – Joint series of events organized by the diversity officers of the universities in Kiel
Under the heading “Diversity in the University Context”, the diversity officers Alexa Magsaam (Kiel University of Applied Sciences), Eddi Steinfeldt-Mehrtens (Christian-Albrechts-University of Kiel) and Marina Röh (Commission for Equal Opportunities and Diversity of the Muthesius Art Academy) invited to an Online lecture series in the winter semester 2020/21.
